Washington: Space and good governance came up for discussion as Tesla CEO Elon Musk met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Blair House in Washington DC on February 14. Musk, who heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), called the meeting an "honor".
The tech titan was accompanied by three of his children -- X, Strider, and Azure. During the meeting, he gifted PM Modi a Starship hexagonal heatshield tile.
Stating that he had a "very good meeting" with Musk, Modi wrote on X: "We discussed various issues, including those he is passionate about such as space, mobility, technology and innovation. I talked about India’s efforts towards reform and furthering ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance'." In response, Musk called it an "honor" to meet the Indian leader.

After meeting Musk, PM Modi also met Indian-American billionaire entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy here and the two leaders discussed the India-US ties, innovation, biotechnology among other things.
