The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace, Khajuraho, has been featured on TIME’s “World’s Greatest Places” of 2026.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Panna National Park, The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace stands majestically atop the Maniyagarh Hills. This 350-year-old, lovingly restored palace offers views of its lush, vast gardens and the rainwater-fed lake at its heart. A harmonious blend of Bundelkhand tradition and princely grandeur, the palace radiates a timeless elegance.
TIME’s annual list highlights destinations and experiences around the world that stand out for their cultural, architectural or environmental significance. In its entry on the Rajgarh palace resort, the publication noted the combination of restored historic architecture and proximity to natural and cultural landmarks in the surrounding region.
The palace itself was originally built by Maharaja Hindu Pat of the Bundela dynasty. The property includes 65 rooms and suites, ranging from palace rooms with views of the lake and surrounding hills to larger suites and private pool villas set within gardens and terraces.
