The Gupta-Klinsky India Institute at Johns Hopkins University will host the second annual Hopkins India Conference 2026, a flagship convening that advances U.S.–India collaboration across research, policy, innovation, education, and global development. The conference will take place April 1 and April 2, 2026, at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center in Washington, D.C.

This year’s theme, Ideas, Innovation & Impact for a Shared Future, reflects India’s growing role as a global center of knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving. The conference brings together leaders from across sectors to explore how India’s scientific, technological, and policy strengths can inform responses to pressing challenges in health, climate, education, technology, and equitable development.

Conference sessions will be organized into thematic tracks focused on foundational global priorities, including Technology and Innovation, The Future of Health, Education and Talent Transformation, and India and the World. Each track will emphasize cross-cutting dialogue and practical recommendations that strengthen cooperation, build capacity, and enhance shared outcomes.

Day One (April 1, 2026) consists of keynotes and panels convened by global experts discussing India in the international stage. Day Two (April 2, 2026) of the Hopkins India Conference 2026 will feature curated invite-only, closed-door roundtables designed to enable deeper dialogue, peer learning, and collaboration across critical India–U.S. priority areas.

“We designed this conference to move beyond conversation to collaboration and action,” said Dr. Amita Gupta, Faculty Co-Chair of the Gupta-Klinsky India Institute and co-founder of the conference. “The expanded structure for 2026 reflects our commitment to convening interdisciplinary expertise and amplifying voices across institutions and sectors.”

Participants from government, academia, industry, and civil society are invited to register now. Early bird registration is available through February 28, 2026.
