Brunswick, Maine: The campaign for Dr. Nirav Shah for Governor announced endorsements from dozens of health care leaders and professionals from across Maine, including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician associates, psychologists, paramedics, and public health experts with decades of combined experience caring for Maine people.

The group represents a wide cross-section of the state’s health care workforce, including emergency physicians, primary care doctors, specialists, behavioral health providers, academic clinicians, and frontline nurses — many of whom have spent their careers practicing in rural communities and underserved regions of the state.

At a time when health care and public health are under attack by Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the endorsers say Maine needs a governor who understands the system and is ready to fight back for patients and providers. They say Dr. Shah is the only candidate in the race with the firsthand experience and proven leadership to fix Maine’s broken health care system.

The endorsements underscore Dr. Shah’s position as the leading health care voice in the race and the only candidate with firsthand experience running a major part of Maine’s health system.
