On Sunday, October 5, Juilliard Extension will host a full day of workshops for the finalists of the Department for the Aging’s (NYC Aging) Talent is Timeless 2025 competition. Workshops will include vocal training, stage presence, movement, and performance coaching, equipping the performers with the skills and confidence to shine in the Grand Finale.
After winning three rounds of competition, 20 acts will be performing at the Grand Finale at the United Palace Theater on October 16. The emcee will once again be comedian Jackie Hoffman, and celebrity judges will decide the winners. The competition is in its third year, celebrating New Yorkers age 60 and older by allowing them to perform comedy, dance, and music. The program is designed to combat ageism by challenging stereotypes and spotlighting the creativity, vitality, and talent of older adults.
This marks the second consecutive year that the Juilliard Extension School has partnered with NYC Aging to prepare the finalists. The collaboration reflects Juilliard Extension’s growing leadership in the creative aging movement, which uses the arts to support well-being, community connection, and personal growth later in life.
