New York: On February 6, 2026, the New York State Democratic Committee hosted its 2026 State Convention in Syracuse, with over 400 attendees. Committee members voted on designees for this November’s statewide races – including governor, attorney general, and comptroller.
This convention marked the first time that the city of Syracuse hosted the event since 1982.
New York State Democratic Party Chairman Jay S. Jacobs released the following statement: “The New York State Democratic Party enters this November’s election in a strong position with this slate of proven leaders who are standing up to Donald Trump’s attacks on our state and fighting for working families. I am excited for Governor Hochul and Adrienne Adams, Comptroller DiNapoli, and Attorney General James – with the leadership of these candidates, we are going to elect New York Democrats up and down the ballot.”
Candidates who receive 25% of the weighted vote automatically advance to the primary ballot. All campaigns have reviewed and accepted the preliminary results below:

Antonio Delgado and India Walton, 14.7%
COMPTROLLER:
Thomas P. DiNapoli, 89.99%
