New York: Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, along with 10 others, have pleaded not guilty on charges of conspiring to overturn the results of the 2020 US presidential election, the media reported.

According to multiple reports, Giuliani will need to furnish a $10,000 bond for ignoring the state’s efforts to serve him with a summons over the past week.

The former NY Mayor called the case “completely political”.

The trial in an Arizona court is scheduled to take place in October.

While appearing remotely for the arraignment, Giuliani said he did not have an attorney at present, but will have one in the future.

When asked if he would need counsel appointed for the arraignment, Giuliani replied: “No, no, I think I am capable of handling it myself.”

Of the 10 defendants who joined Giuliani in entering their not-guilty pleas, four appeared virtually, while six appeared in person.

The defendants include Trump ally Christina Bobb, and former Trump campaign aide Mike Roman.

Giuliani joined former President Donald Trump's personal legal team in April 2018.

His activities as Trump's attorney have led to allegations that he engaged in corruption and profiteering. In 2019, Giuliani was a central figure in the Trump–Ukraine scandal.

In April this year, he was indicted for prosecution related to the 2020 election in Arizona.
