New York: Radhika Jones, the editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair, has officially announced her departure from Condé Nast after a remarkable seven-year tenure leading the prestigious magazine.

Jones, who took over the role in 2017 after the legendary Graydon Carter stepped down following 25 years, shared the news with staff in a Thursday afternoon meeting at Vanity Fair’s One World Trade Center office in New York. She confirmed she will be leaving in the spring, with a successor yet to be named.

Announcing her exit on Instagram, Jones posted a throwback picture from this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars Party red carpet, writing, “After seven fabulous years, I’m stepping down as editor of Vanity Fair. It’s been an incredible run, with the best team in the business. More to come from me, but for now, I’m just so grateful to my colleagues, and so proud of our accomplishments. Thank you to everyone in the VF universe, from our cover subjects to our party guests to, especially, our loyal readers. It’s been an honor to do this work for you."
