Indian Consulate in New York in collaboration with Indian Panorama, hosted a joyous celebration honoring the spirit of Baisakhi and Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. Gurcharanjit Singh Lamba reflected on the founding of the Khalsa, while Ravi Batra shared his moving experience at Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple).
The Consul General highlighted the Sikh Gurus’ timeless teachings—compassion, harmony, service, and equality—and acknowledged the Punjabi community’s contributions to India’s nation-building.

The evening began with a soulful Shabad and concluded with a lively Bhangra performance. New York Assemblyman Ed Braunstein and North Hempstead Town Clerk Ragini Srivastava also graced the event.
