NYC Health + Hospitals announced that its five skilled nursing facilities have been recognized in the sixth annual Newsweek Best Nursing Homes list for 2025. This prestigious award list ranks four of the five long-term care facilities in the top ten; the fifth facility was ranked in the top 20. For the rankings, Newsweek identified 500 top facilities (with more than 150 beds), across 25 states, with 69 in New York state.
The America’s Best Nursing Homes 2025 ranking lists the nation’s leading nursing homes in the 25 unique states with the highest number of facilities according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
The rankings are designed to assist patients and their families in making informed decisions about where to receive their long-term and post-acute care.
With over 600 nursing homes in New York State, the following NYC Health + Hospitals long-term care facilities were recognized as the best nursing homes in New York:
NYC Health + Hospitals/Sea View (ranked 2nd in the state)
NYC Health + Hospitals/Gouverneur (ranked 4th in the state)
NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter (ranked 5th in the state)
NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler (ranked 9th in the state)
NYC Health + Hospitals/McKinney (ranked 19th in the state)
