Actress Rhea Chakraborty recently visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai with her father and brother after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) gave her a clean chit in the case related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant was found dead in his home in Bandra, Mumbai, on June 14, 2020. He was 34 years old. His death shocked the entire country and led to a lot of controversy. At first, the Mumbai Police was investigating the case, but later, it was transferred to the CBI.

The postmortem report from Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital said the cause of death was asphyxia, meaning lack of oxygen. But soon after his death, Sushant’s family accused Rhea of being involved. They filed a complaint in Patna, Bihar, saying she had taken Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s property.

This complaint led to a major investigation. It was widely covered by the media, and Rhea faced a lot of criticism and media trials. After almost five years, the CBI finally submitted its closure report. It stated that there was no proof against Rhea in connection with Sushant’s death. The report confirmed that her name should be cleared. This brought a sense of relief to Rhea and her family.
