-- An emergency meeting was held in New Delhi with senior officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation following the Ahmedabad plane crash. The incident was reviewed during the meeting. Discussions were also held regarding relief operations at the crash site, according to News18.

-- The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) stated it will launch a probe into the Air India plane crash.

-- The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel immediately activated emergency protocols and rushed to the site of the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. Rescue operations are being carried out in close coordination with local authorities and emergency services.

-- The British High Commission in India said: "We are working with local authorities to urgently establish the facts and provide support. Our thoughts are with all those affected".

-- The aircraft was under the command of Captain Sumeet Sabharwal with First Officer Clive Kundar. Captain Sabharwal has 8200 hours of flying experience. The co-pilot had 1100 hours of flying experience.

-- Union Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken to the Gujarat Chief Minister and the Police Commissioner regarding the plane crash. He also assured to provide Central government assistance.
