Washington: US President Donald Trump in a social media post announced that the United States knows the location of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, adding that America would not kill Khamenei “at least for now” but called for his “unconditional surrender”.
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Subsequently, he posted, in all capital letters: "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!".
A frustrated Trump said early on June 17 that he is seeking a "real end" to the conflict between Israel and Iran, adding that his patience is wearing thin. He reminded that a diplomatic option is not off the table and that he could send Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff to meet with the Iranians.
US getting ready to attack Iran?A Bloomberg report stated on June 18 that senior officials in the United States are getting ready for a possible military strike on Iran in the coming days. \ The Wall Street Journal had also reported that President Donald Trump, earlier in the week, approved a military attack plan targeting Iran but withheld the final authorization as he considered whether Tehran would meet his demands. “I may do it. I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do,” he told reporters outside the White House on June 18. Meanwhile, the State Department has begun evacuating nonessential diplomats and their families from the US Embassy in Israel as hostilities intensified, AP reported. |
