New York: The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum has announced the third edition of the India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit. It will be held on Sept. 9 and 10 in partnership with Stanford University’s Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation and the Hoover Institution.

The summit will assemble top defense policymakers from Washington and New Delhi to enhance advanced technology partnerships in defense innovation, USISPF said in a post on X.
The theme for this year's summit, "Harnessing Investment Opportunities to Enhance Cross-Border Defense Innovation Ecosystems," will emphasize the vital role of private capital in driving progress in the defense innovation sector.

The summit will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, and roundtable sessions featuring leaders from both the private and public sectors. These sessions will focus on themes such as strengthening advanced technology partnerships in defense, funding defense innovation, and building resilient supply chains.

The INDUS-X Tech Expo, a state-of-the-art exhibition, will showcase cutting-edge technologies and innovations from defense and aerospace startups and companies. The event will attract venture capital firms, academics, accelerators, and tech professionals from the Bay Area.

In June 2023, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) launched the India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) during Prime Minister Modi's state visit to Washington, D.C. In its first year, INDUS-X has strengthened both nations' commitment to creating a defense innovation bridge under the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET).

INDUS-X has enhanced private-sector cooperation between the United States and India by fostering partnerships among defense technology companies, investors, and researchers from both countries.
