General Human Outreach honors Dr. Neeta Jain

New York: Democratic District Leader Dr. Neeta Jain was honored by the General Human Outreach (GHO) which celebrated its 25th anniversary with a “Diversity New York” Gala Dinner at Terrace On The Park in Queens on November 15.

GHO is unique as a human services non-profit agency, having been founded by an original Case Worker, Jane Ning Kuo in 1992, and keeping a special, culturally competent focus on the underserved Asian American population in the New York City area.

For over 25 years, GHO has served individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities by providing them with service coordination; Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) housing, day habilitation centers; community inclusion support; employment preparation, training and placement; and Korean American support services in addition to long-standing Chinese American programs.

GHO intends to extend their services to South Asian communities as well.

The theme ‘Diversity New York’ was chosen for the gala because of the significant contribution that GHO continues to make serving individuals throughout this diverse city.

The gala was attended by elected officials including NYC Public Advocate Letitia James and Assemblyman elect Daniel Rosenthal.
