New Delhi : Designer Anju Modi’s interpretation of global fashion was an interesting watch. Anarkalis were the USP of her collection.
Designer on her collection:
"It’s global women’s interpretation of fashion today. As we are travelling so much, we are using the cultural influences on
our dressing. Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Russian, Sylvania and other countries have inspired me. Mostly fabrics are Indians- khadis, chanderis, silk, tussars, net, velvet. I wanted to attain a country side look.”
Designer has used international colour palette. “Global colours like charcoal, red, off-white, ivory, yellow are used. These are internationally accepted colours.”
White, as always, dominated Anju’s collection: “White is a very positive colour. It has all the seven colours in it. It has a very nice energy to it.”
